Behind home

Dietro casa, literally “behind home.”
I can be translated as “backyard” but it’s also a figure of speech to say “nor far from home”, “close to home.”
It seemed to me the right title for this shooting: we took photos in the neighborhood, in two rarely visited places so we were able to remove the mask without worrying about other people safety.
And “Behind the house” is also the title of a piece by Ludovico Einaudi that I will never tire of listening to, a melody in which the pauses between the notes seem to be deep breaths of the soul.

The clothes in this shooting are all the result of the quarantine: made from fabrics that I already had at home and without a real common thread that connected them.
Even pictures are extemporaneous: I was focused on the new collection and I did not think of taking photos before finishing it.
However, since we celebrated our anniversary these days, home became filled with wonderful bouquets of fresj flowers.
How not to take advantage of this fleeting beauty?

And here it is, all in natural fabrics, a small collection full of colors.
The ensemble top + skirt is in orange cotton with a hint of salmon: a fabric found in a basket on occasions (I don’t understand how it could be there, considering the high quality of it).
Then there is the large-flowered overcoat dress, a rich and voluptuous garment that cannot go unnoticed. I love his twisted belt very much, an unexpected, special detail.
Silk and cotton fibers for the giraffe dress, which features a superb Dolce & Gabbana print, it has a very simple cut to leave the whole scene to the motif.
In the rose garden you can see the blue-gray linen dress (a color technically defined as “cadet gray”), freely inspired by the wonderful apron of Amy March in the latest “Little Women” movie; and the lilac denim dress, with a very thin cut-out on the back, which peeps opening and closing during movements.
And, to top it off, the summer version of the dress you saw me wearing on Christmas, this time in white, plain and simple. Made from GOTS certified organic cotton, I would say that with a romantic bouquet of flowers it could proudly fit even for a wedding.
